What we collect, and why.

Nothing, to browse.

The public library, its search, and every prompt page work without an account. No cookie is set for browsing.

An account, to keep a library.

Personal access uses sign-in with Google. When you sign in, Google tells us your email address, your name, and your profile picture address. We keep those to show you your account and to know which prompts are yours. We do not receive your Google password. We do not keep the tokens Google issues for your Google account; they are discarded when sign-in completes.

A session cookie, while you are signed in.

It is set by this site, for this site only, and holds a random token we recognise. We store only a hash of that token. It expires seven days after you sign in and ends when you sign out.

Your prompts, because you asked us to keep them.

Everything you save, every version, and your favorites are stored so you can come back to them. Each version is kept until you delete the prompt for good. Before anything is saved, the text is checked in your browser for strings that look like credentials, and again by our server; a save is refused until such a value is replaced.

What we send to analytics.

Public pages carry a Google Analytics tag. It reports which public pages are viewed and, on those pages, which prompts are viewed and copied. Private pages, your library, your searches within it, your prompt text, and anything you type into a prompt’s inputs are never sent to analytics. Advertising features are switched off.

What we do not do.

Where it lives.

Your data is stored with our hosting and database providers in the United States.

Your choices.

Changes.

We note the date of the last change at the top of this page.
